ICE Anime Movie's Promotional Videos Streamed

Theatrical version of post-apocalyptic video series opens in Japan on Saturday

Digital Beat, the online magazine website for the Japanese video distributor Bandai Visual, has begun streaming two promotional videos for the theatrical film version of the ICE video anime series. One of the videos clocks in at 30 seconds, while the other one runs 90 seconds long.

The story takes place in the near future when all male humans in the world have died off and only 20,000 females remain living in the Tokyo ward of Shinjuku. While some of the survivors decide to accept humanity's death sentence and live bacchanal lives, other fight over a mysterious substance called ICE that may be humanity's salvation. After screening in film festivals in Tokyo, San Paulo, and Chicago, the theatrical version is opening in Japan on Saturday. Makoto Kobayashi (6 Angels, Dragon's Heaven) directed this work from PPM animation studio.
