1st Kurumi TV anime, Kurumi Zero, Kurumi 2 in streams, downloads

The Crunchyroll video website has announced that it has partnered with the Japanese media production company Pony Canyon to offer the Steel Angel Kurumi television series and two anime spinoffs for streaming and downloads. The first Steel Angel Kurumi anime is based on Kaishaku's 2004 action comedy manga that ran in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine and two sibling publications from 1997 to 2004. The story revolves around a priest-in-training who stumbles across three female Steel Angel androids that were created by a scientist in the early 20th century. In addition to the first Kurumi anime, Crunchyroll will release the three-part Steel Angel Kurumi Zero video anime follow-up and a loose sequel, the Steel Angel Kurumi 2 television series.

The first Steel Angel Kurumi anime and Steel Angel Kurumi 2 were both released on DVD in North America by ADV Films. ADV Film's corporate parent A.D. Vision had also licensed the original manga version for its ADV Manga unit.
