News Pop Japan Travel, H.I.S., Intermixi Offer Japan Tours

Digital Manga's Pop Japan Travel service announced this week that its next Cold Steel Tour will offer a private meet-and-greet session with Hideyuki Kikuchi, the creator of Vampire Hunter D, Demon City Shinjuku, Dark Side Blues, and Wicked City. The January 27-February 7 tour will also visit Gloomy Bear creator Mori Chack, Studio Pierrot, and the Yuki Matsuri snow festival in northern Japan.
H.I.S.'s 2009 Japanese Pop Culture Anime Fair Special will include stops at the Tokyo Anime Fair, the Ghibli Museum, the Nakano Broadway shopping complex, the Akihabara otaku shopping district, and an optional writing class with a professional manga artist. The tour will run from March 17 to March 21.
Intermixi's Neo-Tokyo Spring Tour will offer Chicago and New York as optional departure points next year, in addition to Los Angeles. The March 17-23 tour will include the Tokyo Anime Fair, Ghibli Museum, Akihabara, a "How to Draw Manga" session with Manga University, and a sword-fighting lesson.
