Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka Game Gets OVA Green-Lit (Updated)

The official website for TNK's television anime adaptation of feng's Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka adult romance adventure game has announced on Saturday that an original video animation (OVA) project has been green-lit. The game was already adapted into a television series from October 2 to December 18. The new anime will be released on June 26, which is the same day that the seventh and final volume of the television version's DVDs would have shipped. More informaton will be provided on the website later. The website does hint that the new Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka project might be "different" from the television series, and asks viewers to look forward to it.

The story of the original game centers around a boy named Jun-ichi Nagase at a prestigious academy, and a female transfer student named Yuuhi Katagiri — who just happens to be Jun-ichi's fiancée, as arranged by his family.

Update: The animation studio for Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka has been corrected. The seventh and final DVD volume for the television series version was recently resolicited at the Sofmap retailer under the new tentative title of "Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka OAV Special," although Amazon and other retailers still list the original tentative title of "Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka Volume 7."
