News Tokyo Anime Fair Opens Business Registration for 2009

Online pre-registration for industry buyers for the 2008 Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF) has opened.
TAF 2009 will take place March 18 to 21 at Tokyo Big Sight on the island of Odaiba in Tokyo, Japan. TAF was initially a two-day, business-only trade show for the anime industry when it launched in 2002. The event was later expanded to a four-day event with two days reserved for business and two days open to the public. Public attendance costs 1,000 yen (800 yen in advance) and half as much for high school and junior high school students. Entry is free for seniors, young children accompanied by an adult, and pre-registered business attendees.

Pokemon Movie: Black Dub.DVD
Overall, neither Pokemon the Movie: Black or its White counterpart really stands out from the already packed herd. While not terrible, these are films that can be safely left alone unless you or your child have a compulsion to truly catch 'em all.

It turns out that the great NisiOisin/Gainax collaboration is just another mission-of-the-week comedy. Sad, that. And boring.

Hiiro no Kakera is by no means a terrible show...it just isn't a very good one, either. With a stilted script and a team of heroes who feel incompetent, not to mention cookie cutter characters who do little to make themselves endearing or unusual, it does nothing to elevate itself above the masses.
Speed Grapher DVD 4Although hampered by a lot of truly bad writing, just enough good elements are present to hold the interest of those who have stuck with the series so far. The English dub, as before, helps greatly in making the series tolerable.
