U.S. animators, Japanese cast mark Yokohama's 150th anniversary
The official website for the Baton animated film is streaming a 67-second trailer. The film will run exclusively during the 150th anniversary celebration of the Japanese city of Yokohama from April 28 to September 27. Director Ryuhei Kitamura (Azumi, Versus, Godzilla: Final Wars) and producer Shunji Iwai are overseeing this project with Notorious Films, Rockwell Eyes Production, Tsuburaya Productions (Ultraman), and Wild Boar Media — the development studio co-founded by former GDH International vice-president Eric Calderon (Afro Samurai). The actual animation is supervised by Mark Brooks and produced at Studio Titmouse in the United States. Hayato Ichihara and Aya Ueto play the main characters.

Cage of Eden has all of the elements of a classic survival epic – monsters, diseases, an unfriendly wilderness with no perceived escape, and our own ability as humans to lie.
