The Wizard World Philadelphia convention will hold an advance screening of Chris Nohan's live-action film adaptation of Production I.G's Blood: The Last Vampire anime on June 19. South Korea's Jeon Ji-hyun (under her English name, Gianna Jun) plays the main character Saya, a 16-year-old sword-wielding girl hunting down supernatural creatures. Japanese actress Koyuki plays her opponent Onigen.
Samuel Goldwyn Films officially announced nine of the cities that will have screenings on July 10, the movie's opening day in the United States: Berkeley, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago, Cambridge, Dallas, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. The film already opened in Japan last month (under the title Last Blood). It will open in the United Kingdom on Friday, and then in France on next Wednesday.
