News Anime Network Expands into Online HD Videos

A.D. Vision's Anime Network has announced that it has expanded its online streaming service to include the high-definition versions of Shinji Aramaki's first computer-animated Appleseed science-fiction action film and Makoto Shinkai's The Place Promised in Our Early Days science-fiction romance film. Both films are available to premium subscribers in 720p resolution with H.264 encoding. The Premium Membership costs US$6.95 per month, while a three-month subscription costs US$18.95 and a one-year subscription costs US$69.95. In all, the service offers more than 300 hours of standard-definition and high-definition programming, including over 40 hours that are free without the Premium Membership.
