AVCon opens pre-registration and sets target for attendance.

Adelaide's Anime and Video Game Convention have opened their registration for 2009.
AVcon is to be held on the 25th and 26th of July in the Adelaide Convention Center, pre-registration can be found here and this year registration is being partially handled through Bass ticketing. They have also opened their competitions including cosplay, anime music videos, fanfiction and art, the full list can be found here. The other point of interest is on the AVCon forums where Vice-Convener Mitchell Chapman is trying to rally 1000 pre-registrations. Unfortunately there is no update at this time but from the conversation numbers are looking good.
