News New York Anime Festival Reports 21,388 Total Attendees

Reed Exhibitions Industry Vice President Lance Fensterman reports that the attendance number for this past weekend's New York Anime Festival stands at 21,388. This tally includes regular attendees, professionals, press, guests, and speakers, but not exhibiting staff. 18,399 went to last year's New York Anime Festival, so attendance rose 16% this year. Fensterman invites people to offer ideas and opinions for this year's event and next year's, when the convention will have a "new home at New York Comic Con."discuss this in the forum (19 posts) |

Overall, neither Pokemon the Movie: Black or its White counterpart really stands out from the already packed herd. While not terrible, these are films that can be safely left alone unless you or your child have a compulsion to truly catch 'em all.

Hiiro no Kakera is by no means a terrible show...it just isn't a very good one, either. With a stilted script and a team of heroes who feel incompetent, not to mention cookie cutter characters who do little to make themselves endearing or unusual, it does nothing to elevate itself above the masses.
