Fruits Basket/Kodomo no Omocha director reveals his work in announced anime
Akitarō Daichi, the acclaimed anime director of Fruits Basket, Kodomo no Omocha, and Now and Then, Here and There, has confirmed in his blog on Friday that he is starting work on Gag Manga Biyori 4. The fourth television anime adaptation of Kōsuke Masuda's Gag Manga Biyori nonsensical gag comedy was announced this past July.
The third Gag Manga Biyori anime series debuted last year, and Daichi directed all three anime series that have already been made. The original manga is known for its bizarre plot setups and non-sequitur humor — just as Daichi is known for directing bizarre plot setups and non-sequitur humor.
