Giant Killing Soccer Manga Gets TV Anime Green-Lit

Studio DEEN animates 26-episode series for NHK's BS2/BS hi channels in April

The combined 2nd/3rd issue of 2010 and the official website for Kodansha's Morning magazine are announcing this week that a television anime adaptation of Masaya Tsunamoto and Tsujitomo's Giant Killing soccer manga has been green-lit for a April 2010 premiere.

Studio DEEN is animating the 26-episode series for NHK's BS2 and BS hi satellite/cable channels and Sogo Vision. Yuu Kou (Chrono Crusade, Loveless, Monochrome Factor, Umi Monogatari ~Anata ga Ite Kureta Koto~) is directing, and Toshifumi Kawase (When They Cry - Higurashi, The Law of Ueki) is overseeing the scripts.
