Super Street Fighter IV Anime, Live-Action Dead Rising Announced (Update 2)

SSFIV Xbox 360 to ship in April with anime by Afro Samurai's Fuminori Kizaki, Gonzo

The game studio CAPCOM has announced at the "CAPCOM Title Premiere for Xbox 360" press conference on Tuesday that the Microsoft Xbox 360 version of the Super Street Fighter IV fighting game will bundle an all-new animation project exclusively in Japan. This anime is being directed by Fuminori Kizaki (Afro Samurai) at the Gonzo anime studio. CAPCOM has posted a 158-second animation trailer and several gameplay trailers on its website. The game will ship in Japan on April 28.

Update: CAPCOM has also announced that it is producing Zombrex Dead Rising Sun (Shibyō Osen Dead Rising), a live-action movie version of its Dead Rising 2 zombie game. Keiji Inafune, the producer of Dead Rising and the character designer of the Rockman/Megaman game franchise, will make his directorial debut with this movie. Inafune and Makoto Ikehara wrote the screenplay, and Digital Frontier (Appleseed, Resident Evil: Degeneration) is producing. A trailer is streaming on the movie's official website.
