Lost in Translation
The official blog of the North American anime distributor Funimation noted on Monday that it posted more free episodes on its own website and on the YouTube and Hulu websites this past week. Funimation also started listing more episodes available on the new YouTube rental service. Among the new titles posted are the first two dubbed episodes of 009-1, and the first three subtitled episodes of Last Exile. (Crunchyroll had removed its streaming of Last Exile as of March 1, and it plans to remove Omamori Himari within 30 days of that anime's final episode simulcast, on request from Kadokawa.) Also offered are the first episodes of Funimation's new licenses, Dance in the Vampire Bund and Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts.
ANN has also started streaming the first four dubbed episodes of the Burst Angel television anime series this week. Burst Angel had previously been available for streaming on Joost, but have since expired.
