Ming Ming's supernatural school shōjo manga reimagining of Gainax, Khara's anime

The North American publisher Dark Horse Comics is soliciting the first volume of Ming Ming's Neon Genesis Evangelion: Campus Apocalypse (Neon Genesis Evangelion: Gakuen Datenroku) manga for an August 11 release. This shōjo manga re-imagines Gainax and Khara's Neon Genesis Evangelion anime franchise as a supernatural school manga where students secretly fight mysterious creatures called "Angels" after hours.

The manga ran in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Asuka magazine from 2007 to 2009, and four compiled book volumes have been published in Japan. Dark Horse Comics' acquisition was previously revealed in the solicitation information for the fifth volume of the first Evangelion spinoff manga that Dark Horse publishes, Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Shinji Ikari Raising Project. Viz Media publishes Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's main Evangelion manga.
