Lost in Translation
The North American manga publisher Tokyopop has announced on its Facebook account that it will publish Chibi Vampire: Airmail, a collection of short manga stories based on Yuna Kagesaki's Chibi Vampire (Karin) manga. The short stories ran in Fujimi Shobo's Monthly Dragon Age magazine in 2008 after the main Karin manga ended that same year. In addition to side stories about the main series' characters as well as stories about previously unseen European vampires, Chibi Vampire: Airmail includes manga strips about Kagesaki's visit to Sakura-Con in Seattle. The Chibi Vampire: Airmail volume will ship on August 31.
Tokyopop already published the original Chibi Vampire manga series. Comic Book Resources' Robot 6 blog reports that Tokyopop Marketing Director Marco Pavia declined to confirm the license of Hidekaz Himaruya's Hetalia - Axis Powers manga.
