Gundam, 3rd 20th Century Boys, More in San Francisco

The Viz Cinema theater in San Francisco's Japantown will be showing the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam movie trilogy and the first installment of the Mobile Suit Gundam UC video series on May 16 as a part of its "Sci-Fi Anime Madness" program during the month of May. Bandai Entertainment has slated the Zeta Gundam compilation movie trilogy for a DVD release in June. Also showing during May is Royal Space Force (Wings of Honneamise) on May 17 and 18; Evangelion: 1.0 You Are [Not] Alone (Evangelion Shin Gekijōban: Jo ) on May 15, 17, and 18; and the Ghost in the Shell movie (in the original and the updated 2.0 versions) on May 19.

Viz Cinema will be showing the third and final installment in the live-action film adaptation of Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys manga on May 20. The film will be released on DVD on June 1.

The theater had already announced that it will be hosting the American premiere of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, the first ever movie in the Haruhi Suzumiya franchise, from May 21 to June 5.
