Kaichū! School Archery Manga's 2nd Anime Short Posted (Updated)

Yuki Hayashi's comedy about high school archery club inspires 2-part web anime

Shueisha's Web Young Jump website is streaming the second original five-minute web anime movie based on Yuki Hayashi's Kaichū! high school archery manga. Like the first short, the second one revolves around a high school archery club with a boy named Tatsuya Tachikawa (Kazuto Kokubu) and a pretty new transfer student named Gonzaburō Fudō (Eriko Nakamura).

The two-part web anime adapts the original Kaichū! one-shot manga that ran in Young Jump Zōkan Mantarō magazine in 2006. The one-shot manga and the web anime's story differs from the later Kaichū! manga series, in which Tachikawa is the new high school student and "Gon-chan" is the tournament-winning archery genius.

The regular manga series launched in Weekly Young Jump magazine last year, but it has since moved to the Web Young Jump site this year. The first print volume shipped on July 16.

Update: The second print volume shipped on July 16. Thanks, Shuichi.
