Phantom Gets BD Box in Japan with English Dub/Sub

The online retailer CD Japan/Neowing reports that the Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ anime will be released in a Blu-ray box with the English dubbing and English subtitles in Japan on January 11, 2011. It is one of the few cases where an anime will ship in Japan with English dubbing and subtitles before a North American home video release has been scheduled. (Previous examples of this include several Studio Ghibli films.)
The series will be released on Japanese Blu-ray for 36,750 yen. Funimation, the North American licensee of the series, began streaming all 26 episodes last year. Funimation will release the series on DVD in early 2011.
