News Saijō no Meii Medical Manga Gets Live-Action TV Series

Story of young pediatric surgeon by Yakitate!! Japan's Takashi Hashiguchi
This year's 47th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is announcing next Wednesday that a live-action television adaptation of Takashi Hashiguchi and Kenzō Irie's Saijō no Meii medical manga has been green-lit. The story centers around a young pediatric surgeon. The series will premiere next January, and it will run on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on Mondays at 10:00 p.m. Hashiguchi had previously created the Yakitate!! Japan manga and anime.
Hashiguchi launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Sunday in December of 2007.
