Tokyopop Launches Print-On-Demand in New Online Store

Tokyopop has announced the launch of its new online store, which includes a print-on-demand feature that allows users to purchase otherwise out-of-print titles such as Gorgeous Carat, Arm of Kannon, and Liling-Po. The store was created in partnership with distributor Baker & Taylor Inc. and e-commerce company MashON. To celebrate the store's launch, everything in the store is on sale for 30% off. In addition to manga and novels, the store sells Tokyopop merchandise. The print-on-demand titles currently listed on the site feature a suggested price of US$15.99 (sale price US$11.19).
Tokyopop announced last year that it was looking into the possibility of print-on-demand manga for some titles; the company has confirmed with ANN that this partnership is the result of the exploration mentioned at that time. Earlier this year, Tokyopop also launched a DVD-on-demand service for the anime Rave Master.
