The March issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko Magazine is announcing on Thursday that Sunrise is producing an anime adaptation of Minoru Kawakami's Kyōkaisen-jō no Horizon light novel series. The story is set in a distant future where Japan is divided into feudal territories and conquered by other countries. There is a floating city named Musashi that is composed of eight ships in the skies. A war that will determine the fate of the world will be fought by students on the Musashi.
Kawakami has been writing the series since 2008, and the third three-volume arc ended in September. Satoyasu illustrates the light novel volumes. The website of the anime will open at the http://genesis-horizon.net/ address.
