Working!!/Wagnaria Manga Has 'New Project' in the Works (Updated)

Website for TV anime opens with large number "7" on its splash page

The wraparound jacket band on the ninth volume of Karino Takatsu's Working!! manga is announcing on Friday that Takatsu's website has received over 50 million hits, so she "is doing a 'new project.'" As of Friday, the official website for the television anime adaptation is also opening with a splash page with a large number "7." Neither the jacket band nor the two websites indicate the format that the new project will take. In the story, a high school freshman named Sōta Takanashi works part-time among a restaurant's high-spirited, eccentric, yet cool staffers.

The first television anime series based on Takatsu's manga was announced in 2009 and aired during the spring 2010 anime season. NIS America, the American subsidiary of the Nippon Ichi Software videogame company, licensed the series last November and released it under the name Wagnaria!! last week.
