News Hidamari Sketch Gets New Special Edition

The May issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine is announcing on Monday that production on a new special edition of the television anime based on Ume Aoki's Hidamari Sketch manga has been green-lit. There was already a special edition for the first Hidamari Sketch television anime, another one for the Hidamari Sketch × 365 sequel, and still another one for the third series, Hidamari Sketch × ☆☆☆.

If this film causes more permanent damage than most Pokémon outings, that's wholly the fault of its main character, Keldeo.
On the whole, The Battle for Doldrey is a mixed bag of strengths and weaknesses. While that may be true of most things, there are few places where those lines are so clearly drawn as in this film.
When the set ends, it's on a note of combined hope and sadness that drives us onto the next volume as surely as the mounting disasters of last volume drove us to this one.
You may not get anything substantial from this brief OVA, but it's a lot of fun to watch regardless.
The cartoonish style isn't as ghostly and supernatural as it could be, and the story—despite its growing ambitions—is still too sloppy to compare to the best in the genre. It's getting better, but not that much better.
