Studio 4̂ºC's Attraction Wins Cannes Cyber Lions Silver

10-minute anti-smoking short by The Animatrix/Genius Party's Koji Morimoto

"Attraction," the 10-minute "interactive" anti-smoking short that Koji Morimoto and Studio 4°C animated last year for a French institute, was one of several works that won a Silver Cyber Lions honor at last month's Cannes Lions festival. France's L'Institut national de prévention et d'éducation (The National Institute for Preventive and Health Education, INPES) commissioned the short to discourage first-time smokers.

The entire short is available with English subtitles online at the work's official website. A comic version of the story is also available (PDF).

Before this short, Morimoto worked on The Animatrix, Genius Party, and Memories. He had also previously worked on music videos for Ken Ishii, Hikaru Utada, Glay, System 7, Genki Rockets, Tamurapan, Masterlink, and others.
