Japanese Stores List Madoka Magica #12 Director's Edit

The retailers Rakuten Books and Kinokuniya list a "director's edit" of the 12th and final Puella Magi Madoka Magica episode as a bonus extra on the anime's final Blu-ray Disc/DVD volume. Neither the anime's official website nor other retailers currently list this bonus extra.
The anime's producers had originally scheduled the final episode at the end of March. However, the anime's final episodes had been pre-empted out of "self-restraint" in the aftermath of the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) disaster, and then delayed temporarily. At the time of the delay, Madoka Magica series script editor Gen Urobuchi expressed relief, saying that the extra time would allow the staff to do their best on the finale. The final episode eventually did air in late April to relatively high ratings for its rescheduled timeslot.
The series is being released in the U.S. by Aniplex.
