"Memorial Box" to show footage from September anohana event held in show's model town

The "anohana Fes. Memorial Box," a home video collection of the "anohana Festival" that was held on September 25, will not include the live performances of Galileo Galilei and REMEDIOS from the festival. Galileo Galilei sang the show's opening theme song, and REMEDIOS handled the music for the series. The festival was held at the Muse Park outside stage in Chichibu, which was the town that was used as a model for the town depicted in the series. The Memorial Box will be released on January 25.

The limited edition of the box will include original story clips, a 30-minute long making-of video, a new recorded picture drama titled "Letter to Menma," and bonus footage. The box will also include an event report of the festival, a 100-page booklet, a replica of a pass to the event, and a 20-page illustration booklet for "Letter to Menma." Original character designer Masayoshi Tanaka will draw the box art. The limited edition box will cost 10,290 yen (about US$134) for the Blu-ray version and 9,240 yen (about US$120) for the DVD version. The regular version DVD will cost 6,090 yen (about US$79).

Produced by A-1 Pictures, the eleven-episode Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai. (anohana) anime premiered on Japanese television from April 11 to June 23 of this year.
