News Media Blasters to Release Kite Anime on BD
posted on 2011-11-14 23:51 EST
The North American anime distributor Media Blasters will re-release the 1998 action-drama anime Kite on Blu-ray Disc. Slated for a February 28, 2012 sale date, the anime will be available in two versions, both as general release and an 18+ uncut edition from Kitty Media. The 60-minute Blu-ray Disc will feature both episodes in Japanese and English. The uncut edition will feature an additional 10 minutes of explicit footage from the original Japanese release.
The live action adaptation of Kite is currently in pre-production. Distant Horizon, the South African movie company which also produced The Neighbor No. Thirteen, is making the film. David R. Ellis (Shark Night 3D) has recently been hired to direct the film with Rob Cohen producing. Production is expected to start early next year.

Dawn of the Arcana stumbled at bit in its second volume, but with this one we seem to be back on track.
As far as conclusions go, this arc has one of the strongest. While Eye Opening revealed some important information about the Sonozaki family in general and the twins in particular, Atonement makes us look at what information we already have in a different way.
While the story still has its logical flaws, it remains an engaging read that holds up well despite the passing of years and this volume continues to keep up both the promise and nostalgia of Takeuchi's masterwork.
Overall, neither Pokemon the Movie: Black or its White counterpart really stands out from the already packed herd. While not terrible, these are films that can be safely left alone unless you or your child have a compulsion to truly catch 'em all.
While Prince of Tennis makes the admirable attempt to cater to both novices and experienced players, it ends up appealing to neither. References to actual tennis moves, tips and common advice are noteworthy, but the exaggerated storytelling can be irritating on many levels.
