News Battle Break Trading Figure Game's Jump Festa Anime Posted
posted on 2011-12-18 18:45 EST
On Sunday, the official website for the Battle Break trading figure battle game began streaming the original 19-minute anime short that ran at the Jump Festa 2012 event this weekend. The anime premiered on the V Jump stage at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
The story of Battle Break is set 100 years into the future, when four superpowers — Earth's mechanized Empire, the fused hybrid beast/human resistance fighters of Gaia, the genetically engineered creatures of Coeurl, and the galactic Alien alliance — clash in the solar system. The game launched via capsules sold in Japanese vending machines in April.
The Japanese entertainment conglomerate Bandai posted a shorter anime promotional video for the game in January.

One faction battling here, another one over there, and goodness knows when it's all going to end. If this is the current state of ninja warfare, it's going to be a long, tedious fight.
A beautiful, carefully detailed and altogether pleasant wisp of a film that does absolutely everything – from the characters' personalities to the story construction to the emotional stakes that hold the whole thing together – in miniature.
