Making a Living in Manga in Japan with Felipe Smith
Lost in Translation
JManga, a platform for reading legal manga online, added Volume 1 of Tae Sano's Morita-san wa Mukuchi and Keiko Nishi's Kyudo Boys manga on Tuesday. The titles cost 599 and 499 points per volume, respectively, and free previews are also available.
The Morita-san wa Mukuchi four-panel comedy manga centers on an ordinary but quiet high school girl named Mayu Morita. Mayu's bad timing and tendency to over-think make participation in everyday conversations a challenge. The fifth volume of Sano's manga will ship with an anime DVD and a manga booklet next January. Morita-san wa Mukuchi. 2, the story's second television anime adaptation, began airing in Japan in October.
Nishi's Kyudo Boys manga follows the romantic relationships of a group of high school boys. Kenichi falls for a cute transfer student, but her brother also starts to catch his eye. Houdai tries to learn about his crush by writing a diary from her point of view. Tomokazu wants to get closer to the team captain, but a rumor he started begins to get out of hand.
JManga launched on August 17 with numerous titles never before available in the United States, some of which have become available for purchase. The site offered 29 new titles by August 30 and listed two more titles in September, six more manga in October, two more titles in November, and two more manga this month.
