Apology aired instead; series to premiere next week with 2nd episode

The Gokujyo—. ~Gokurakuin Joshi Kōryō Monogatari~ anime series did not premiere as scheduled on the Chukyo TV station on Monday. Instead, the station ran an apology, explaining that the first episode could not be aired. Chukyo TV also announced that it plans to start the series with the second episode next week. The official website and Twitter account for the anime had been running reminders of the anime's premiere as recently as six hours before the scheduled broadcast on Monday.

The anime adapts Maya Miyazaki's "silly, slightly risque" comedy manga as a series of shorts within the SKE48 no Sekai Seifuku Joshi program. The DMM.com website will then begin streaming the anime on January 30 in Japan.

The story is set in the halls of a high school girls' dormitory where there are no rules and anything goes. A beautiful girl named Minami Kurihashi transfer to the girls' high school Gokurakuin ("Gokujyo") from Los Angeles, and she plans to rule Gokujyo with her cuteness as her weapon. However, a girl named Aya Akabane confounds Minami's plans on her first day there, and Minami deals with the unpredictable life on this campus.

The voice cast includes:

Yōko Hikasa as Aya Akabane
Natsumi Takamori as Konatsu Toro
Maaya Uchida as Ai Nanasato
Nozomi Sasaki as Asuka Utsunomiya
Satomi Akesaka as Madoka Ōwada
Yukari Kokubun as Kaname Oku
