Liman Still Plans All You Need is Kill Film with Tom Cruise

posted on by Justin Sevakis

Director Doug Liman stated in an interview on Sunday that he hopes that a feature film adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka's prose novel All You Need Is Kill will be his next project. Liman called the adapted screenplay by Dante Harper "unlike anything I've ever read. When you can come across a piece of material that's totally original and fun and completely satisfying, you jump on it."

The film is tentatively set to star Tom Cruise, and will be produced by Warner Bros. Pictures. However, no schedule has yet been decided. In the interview, Liman noted that "original material" has become increasingly difficult to make due to falling DVD sales.
