Arrietty U.S Dub's "Summertime" Music Video Previewed

Bridgit Mendler, U.S. voice of title character, contributes new song for film

Walt Disney Pictures began streaming a clip from Bridgit Mendler's "Summertime" music video, which contains footage from Hiromasa Yonebayashi and Studio Ghibli's The Secret World of Arrietty (Karigurashi no Arrietty) anime film. Mendler voices the title character in Disney's American dub of the film.

In his directorial debut, Yonebayashi re-imagines Mary Norton's 1952 novel The Borrowers by moving the story to a Tokyo suburb. The story revolves around Arrietty, a member of the "little people" who live under the floorboards of a regular human family's home. Arrietty's family tries to remain hidden from the human "beans."

The film will open in North America on February 17.
