"Esoragoto" song by nano.RIPE featured in ad for April anime
A television commercial began airing for the anime adaptation of Mitsuru Hattori's Sankarea zombie comedy manga. The ad features the opening theme song "Esoragoto" by the rock band nano.RIPE (Hana-Saku Iroha).
The story of the original manga revolves around Chihiro Furuya, a high school freshman who is obsessed with zombies. Even his dream is to "kiss a zombie girl." Through an unexpected set of circumstances, Chihiro gets to know a pretty girl named Rea Sanka, and together, they try to revive Chihiro's pet cat Baabu who died in an accident. Chihiro discovers that Rea wants to get away from her many responsibilities by becoming a zombie herself.
The anime will premiere in Japan on April 5.
