Bimonthly Manga Time Kirara Magica to have film info, game intro, manga, more

Japanese publisher Houbunsha will launch Manga Time Kirara Magica, a magazine dedicated to the Puella Magi Madoka Magica franchise, on June 8. The magazine will publish an issue every other month.

The first B5-sized issue will cost 680 yen (about US$8.40), and it will feature a cover illustrated by Madoka Magica's anime studio SHAFT. Its articles will have the latest information about the upcoming films (including interviews with director Akiyuki Shinbo and Madoka voice actress Aoi Yūki) and an introduction to the Puella Magi Madoka Magica Online browser game. The first magazine issue will also have 16 manga installments, including anthology-style manga.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica film memories, a film comic adaptation of the entire 12-episode anime series, will also go on sale on May 26. The 496-page, all-color volume will cost 1,890 yen (US$23).
