Nico Nico Super Kaigi Convention Lost 400 Million Yen

The Japanese newspaper Nihon Securities Journal reported on Friday that Nico Nico Super Kaigi, the April 28-29 convention held by the Nico Nico Douga (now known as Nico Nico) video service, lost 400 million yen (about US$5 million). Hiroyuki Nishimura, Director at Nico Nico Douga's Niwango company, had said during the event that his company was losing money on it. The event attracted 92,384 attendees and 3,470,766 online viewers.
