News I.G Animates Shorts About Female Olympians for Acer

Anime studio Production I.G collaborated with electronics maker Acer Japan to produce shorts to celebrate the female athletes heading to the London Olympics this summer. The "Surprise 4 U." videos focus on Acer Japan's catchphrase "Surprise Yourself."
In particular, the shorts highlight five members of the so-called "Sunrise Japan" group of prominent female athletes: Shizuyo Yamasaki (boxer/comedian), Kyōko Hamaguchi (wrestler), Satsuki Itō (boxer), Satako Urata (beach volleyball player), and Takemi Nishibori (beach volleyball player). Jun'ichi Fujisaku is directing the shorts produced by Mizuho Nishikubo. Yoshihiro Ike is composing the music, while Ryō Hirata is designing the characters.
The "~Satsuki's Strange Challenge~" ("~Satsuki no Fushigi na Chōsen~") video centers on Itō. She won her first championship one year after trying boxing for the first time in high school.
