Digital Manga Offers Tezuka's Atomcat as Fundraising Goal

posted on 2012-06-26 22:58 EDT

North American publisher Digital Manga announced its first "stretch goal" after reaching its Kickstarter fundraising target of US$20,500 on Tuesday for publishing Osamu Tezuka's Unico manga. Digital Manga is also offering to publish Tezuka's Atomcat manga next March if the pledges reach the new goal of $26,000.

This manga "is a family reboot of Astro Boy, drawn by Tezuka in 1986-87, about a little boy who has a cat with Astro Boy's powers." Digital Manga says it will publish this manga as a 200-page volume if the stretch goal is reached.
