News Metal Gear's Kojima Wants to Adapt Jiro Matsumoto's Joshi Kōhei Manga Into Game

Game developer Hideo Kojima posted an image on Tuesday of Jiro Matsumoto's Joshi Kōhei manga — along with the comment that the title is the manga that he would most like to turn into a game using his company's Fox Engine software engine. The story is set in New Tokyo in Dimensional Century 2011 and follows Joshi Kōhei — giant robots that happen to take the form of high school girls. (Matsumoto launched the series in real-life in Shinchosha's Monthly Comic Bunch magazine in 2011.)

On the whole, The Battle for Doldrey is a mixed bag of strengths and weaknesses. While that may be true of most things, there are few places where those lines are so clearly drawn as in this film.
When the set ends, it's on a note of combined hope and sadness that drives us onto the next volume as surely as the mounting disasters of last volume drove us to this one.
You may not get anything substantial from this brief OVA, but it's a lot of fun to watch regardless.
