Zetsubou-Sensei Manga's Last Volume Adds 15 New Pages

Kôji Kumeta's comedy gets all-new chapter after series ended in June

The Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine editor of Kôji Kumeta's Joshiraku manga announced on Twitter on Saturday that the 30th and final volume of Kumeta's Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei manga will add 15 new pages on August 17. The volume will add 13 pages in the all-new chapter "30x" epilogue and two more pages to chapter 301. The book's first-pressing edition will also include full-color art.

The series concluded in this year's 28th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in June. The high school comedy centers around a pathologically depressed teacher who somehow finds the will to deal with a class of oddball students.

Kumeta launched the manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2005, and Kodansha published the 29th compiled book volume in May. Del Rey began publishing the manga in North America in 2009, and Kodansha Comics released the 14th volume in April, after taking over Del Rey's titles.

The manga inspired three television anime series and several original video releases. Media Blasters had licensed the first series in North America.
