3 idol rhythm games to send cast to resort music festival on October 25

The online Namco Bandai TV service's Idolm@ster special "Natsu Da! 1-ban, Idolm@ster Matsuri!" (It's Summer! #1, Idolmaster Festival!) debuted the second promotional video for three Idolm@ster Shiny Festa games for the PSP on Sunday.

Unlike most of the previous Idolm@ster titles in which players manage the careers of aspiring idols characters, the upcoming games will be in the "idol rhythm" genre. During a music festival at a southern resort, the characters will perform live concerts as idols and even as a band (complete with instruments). The games will have new animated footage and new songs.

Each Shiny Festa game will feature a different set of idols from the fictitious studio 765 Pro. Idolm@ster Shiny Festa: Honey Sound will include Chihaya Kisaragi, Haruka Amami, Ritsuko Akizuki, and Azusa Miura in the anime "Music in the world" with the song "Vault That Borderline." Idolm@ster Shiny Festa: Funky Note will feature Yayoi Takatsuki, Hibiki Ganaha, and Iori Minase as well as Ami and Mami Futami in the anime "Music is a friend" with the song "Visionary." Idolm@ster Shiny Festa: Groovy Tune will have Miki Hoshii, Yukiho Hagaiwara, Makoto Kikuchi, and Takane Shijou in the anime "Music of love" with the song "edeN."

The games will ship in Japan on October 25.
