Sword Art Online Light Novels Have 5.85 Million Copies

ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint reported this month that over 5.85 million copies of Reki Kawahara's light novel series Sword Art Online are in circulation. The publisher had advertised that 4.6 million were circulating just one month earlier in August.
A two-cours (two-quarter or half-year) television anime inspired by the light novels premiered in Japan on July 7. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime into several countries as it airs in Japan.
