The TOHO Cinemas chain reports that Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 1: Beginnings, the first film in a two-part compilation of the Madoka Magica television series, is 130 minutes long, while the second film, Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 2: Eternal is 109 minutes long. ANN confirmed with Aniplex that these runtimes are accurate.
Aniplex of America and Eleven Arts are screening these films in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Houston, and San Francisco next month. The films will also play in 13 other cities in seven other countries after the Japanese opening on October 6 and October 13.

Review
If this film causes more permanent damage than most Pokémon outings, that's wholly the fault of its main character, Keldeo.
On the whole, The Battle for Doldrey is a mixed bag of strengths and weaknesses. While that may be true of most things, there are few places where those lines are so clearly drawn as in this film.
If you dig the Detective genre run to the store and buy Steam Detectives right now.
