New Iron Chef's Chairman Is Nodame Cantabile's Tamaki

Fuji TV revival to premiere on October 26 with 2-hour special
Actor Hiroshi Tamaki (live-action Nodame Cantabile) will assume the mantle of the Chairman in Fuji TV's upcoming revival of its Iron Chef television series. Takeshi Kaga played the Chairman in the original run of Iron Chef that ended 13 years ago.
The new series will premiere on Friday, October 26. While it will normally run every Friday at 7:57 p.m., the first episode will have two matches and thus will start at the earlier time of 7:00 p.m.
Mainichi Shimbun's Mantan Web site posted more images of Tamaki as the new Chairman.
