Polygon Pictures to Establish Malaysian Branch

The Japanese CG animation studio POLYGON PICTURES (PPI) is establishing a branch in Malaysia with animation studio Silver Ant under the name Silver Ant PPI Sdn. Bhd. The new branch is slated to open in January 2013 and will lead production on the third season of the U.S. television series Transformers Prime.

POLYGON PICTURES specializes in CG animation and worked on anime productions such as Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, Samuroid Zero, and Sky Crawlers.

Silver Ant is a Malaysian animation studio that has provided CG graphics for video games, animated films, television commercials, and other works. They've worked on the video games Mario Strikers Charged, Castlevania, The Story of Hero Yoshitsune, and YS - The Ark of Napishtim.
