Manga creator Kotaro Mori (Stray Little Devil) announced on his Twitter account on Monday that his manga adaptation of GAINAX's Gurren Lagann mecha anime will end in 2013.

Mori wrote that by the final volume in the manga will ship by the end of the re-broadcast of the anime in Japan. The anime's rebroadcast will premiere on Tokyo MX and other television stations on January 5. Mori also mentioned that a Gurren Lagann radio program will also launch this month. At the end of his message, Mori wished everyone a great New Year.

Mori launched the manga in MediaWorks' Monthly Dengeki Comic GAO! magazine in April 2007, and the series was later moved to the publisher's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine in 2008.
