Kei Goto passed away on December 30 due to acute heart failure

Japanese hardcore rock band Pay money To my Pain announced on their website on Thursday that lead singer Kei Goto (K) passed away on December 30 due to acute heart failure. He was 31 years old.

The band went on hiatus in 2012 due to K's ongoing health problems but planned to resume work this year. The singer had suffered from mental health problems and was hospitalized in June, October, and December. The obituary on the band's official website states that K had hoped to meet his bandmates again starting in the new year. The members Pablo, T$uyo$hi, and Zax shared their thoughts on his passing on the band's page.

The band apologized to fans for the late notice of K's passing, but were restricted from doing so due to the legal autopsy. A funeral service has been planned for close family and friends only.

Pay money To my Pain performed the ending theme "HOME" for the anime series Buzzer Beater and the opening theme "Bury" for the 2008 baseball anime series One Outs. K lent his vocals to the Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Full Boost arcade game's theme song "Fight It Out."
