Capcom: Mega Man Xover iOS Game on Hold in U.S.

VP cites "largely negative" fan feedback for putting crossover game on hold

Christian Svensson, senior vice-president at the game company CAPCOM, confirmed that the American release of the Mega Man Xover iOS game is on hold. When asked on CAPCOM's forums about an English release, he responded, "Based upon the largely negative feedback from MM fans, I've requested that we place any Americas release on hold for the time being. We will revisit at a later date."

The auto-side-scrolling game is set in Xover (pronounced "Crossover"), a world that combines the different Mega Man/Rockman story worlds together. Dr. Wily, Sigma, and all the other forces of evil throughout the franchise's history have closed the space-time rifts between the story worlds. The game helped mark the 25th anniversary of the franchise in Japan last year. CAPCOM did release Street Fighter X Mega Man, a free PC crossover game made by a dedicated fan, last month.
