Encouragement of Climb BD to Include Unaired Episode

The official website for the Encouragement of Climb (Yama no Susume) series revealed on Wednesday that the anime's Blu-ray Disc release will include an unaired 13th episode. The tentatively titled "Bouldering ni Chōsen!" episode will be about five minutes long and include a shower scene.
The anime series will ship on a single 50-minute Blu-ray Disc on May 24 for 7,350 yen (about US$81). In addition to the 13th episode, the video extras will include the full-length music video for the anime's theme "Staccato Days" by Yuka Iguchi and Kana Asumi, a "marathon mode" that will allow viewers to watch all twelve episodes back to back without individual openings and endings, and a collection of television commercials.
The set will also bundle a priority ticket application for a planned event, a booklet, a clear sleeve for the Digipak packaging, cover art by character designer Yuusuke Matsuo, and a postcard drawn by Encouragement of Climb manga creator Shiro.
Encouragement of Climb tells the story of childhood friends Aoi (Yuka Iguchi), a girl who prefers staying inside and who has acrophobia, and Hinata (Kana Asumi), a girl who loves mountains. The two decide to climb a mountain in order to once again see the Morning Sun from its peak as they did when they were young.
Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan.
