posted on 2013-02-01 17:25 EST
Kodansha's light novel division will release the second volume of Kentaro Yasui's new Ark IX novel on July 2. The novel will be sold as a limited-edition bundle complete with a Blu-ray Disc with an original anime. The disc will also include bonus footage compiled through a long interview with the author. The bundle is priced at 3,500 yen (about US$38) and pre-order is available until April 25.
Kodansha released the first volume of the Ark IX series, "Angel of Death," on February 1. The volume marks Kentaro's first published volume since 2006. Yasui is best known for writing the Ragnarok light novel series. His work inspired Tsukasa Kotobuki's manga adaptation, which CMX Manga published in North America under the title Sword of the Dark Ones.

If this film causes more permanent damage than most Pokémon outings, that's wholly the fault of its main character, Keldeo.
On the whole, The Battle for Doldrey is a mixed bag of strengths and weaknesses. While that may be true of most things, there are few places where those lines are so clearly drawn as in this film.
